TIMBER FOR SALE

As of November 30, 2002, the Missouri Department of Conservation intends to sell forest products to companies and/or entities that have proper training. Accordingly, the Missouri Department of Conservation will only accept and enter into contracts in which the individual who is designated to sign timber sale contracts and the individual responsible for supervision of the logging have both successfully completed training, and maintained certification, pursuant to the MFPA Professional Timber Harvester Training, or its approved equivalent. Missouri Department of Conservation forest land is licensed in the Sustainable Forestry Initiative (SFI) program and supports program objectives.

The Missouri Department of Conservation will accept bids two separate timber sales in Rocky Creek, Compartment 3. No grapple skidders may be used on this sale area. Sale ÒAÓ will have an estimated 618,448 bd. ft. of mixed hardwood sawtimber by the International 1/4-Inch Tree Scale and 552 cords blockwood on 314 acres. Sale ÒBÓ will have an estimated 797,410 bd. ft. of mixed hardwood sawtimber by the International 1/4-Inch Tree Scale and 751 cords blockwood on 404 acres. The forest products are located in Sections 18 and 19, Township 28 North, Range 4 West and Sections 13 and 24, Township 28 North, Range 5 West, Shannon County, Missouri. A tour of the sale area will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 22, 2008 beginning at the Junction of ÒEÓ and Ò106Ó Highways.
